dates for launches

hi,
just wandering if any of the teams have released approximate dates for launches or atleast tried to suggest a month to attempt for one, just to get an idea of a timescale.

Non so far.

I think the best we have (and it's not much) is the 2003 Team Updates.

Scaled:

Sometime in 2004 SpaceShipOne will demonstrate a full 60+ second burn
time rocketing from 50,000 feet to an altitude of 328,000 feet (62 miles...space!).

Armadillo:

Technically, Armadillo claims they will be ready to fly X PRIZE missions well before the end of the year, but Team members are fond of referring to the Wernher von Braun quote: "We can lick gravity, but sometimes the paperwork is overwhelming."

Starchaser:

With the Thunderstar and its new engines now in production, Starchaser plans to fly in 2004.

daVinci:

Early in 2004 da Vinci Project hopes to receive its license to launch from the
Canadian Government and begin a sequence of test flights culminating in an series of flights to win the X PRIZE.

HARC:

HARC will continue progressing toward full scale launches while keeping safety first. Hardware design and testing will continue into 2004 with a
launch of the Liberator Escape Tower and Capsule in the 1st half of 2004. HARC is planning for a summer launch of the "Little Joe" version of the
Liberator to an altitude of approximately 40 kilometers. The first full scale launch is planned for late summer and will be followed by another launch in the fall. The two X PRIZE competition flights will take place in late 2004, and there are already astronaut candidates pitching in to help move the team toward that goal.

ILAT:

ILAT’s first piloted sub-orbital flight is scheduled to take place before the end of 2006.

Interorbital:

In early 2004 IOS will do a full duration burn with full flight configuration of both rocket and tankage, using the actual X PRIZE engine. The team plans
to roll out its completed vehicle in the summer, followed by one or two unmanned launches for testing. Finally, Wally Funk will pilot the Solaris
X as solo test pilot on its first flight, scheduled for later in the year as the start of the IOS X PRIZE attempt.

American Astronautics:

As a precursor to launches with the Spirit of Liberty, American Astronautics expects to conduct flights with the technology demonstrator, to be flown in early 2004. Upon successful completion of several scheduled flights
with the technology demonstrator, American Astronautics plans to successfully compete for the X PRIZE via flights with the Spirit of Liberty (late
2004).



Given the expiration of the prize at the end of 2004, it seems a few of the teams have given "optimistic" schedules...
