 India's ISRO to Go for Outsourcing Posted on: Tue Nov 03, 2009 12:07 amThe indian Space Research Organization is planning to open up its operations to bids from the private sector:
http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/ISR ... 187575.cms It is hoped that this will keep costs down, as well as spur innovation among a wider variety of participants, while cultivating a broader technical supply chain base. The spinoff benefits for other countries could include cheaper components and engineering services for their private launch operations. |
