If the USA has to move forward in Space Technology, the sceptics will have to be seen to make a complete turnaround in believing that Americans walked on the Moon. The latest photos that show the tracks of the Moon Buggy, the lower stages of the the LMs etc are great but hard to identify.Surely we can do better and get better close-up views of all these pieces of equiptment left after the Apollo warriors.Imagine, at last the final proof of the Brilliant Engineering that took Apollo to the Moon and home again.Do we have the optics to do this ............Palinbook

Well, the nice (in this case) thing about the Moon is that it doesn't have an atmosphere to speak of. That means that there's no air friction slowing you down even in lower orbits, and that means that you can orbit about as close to the surface as you dare to go. And that means that even with modest optics you can still get good pictures, at least if you manage to compensate for the motion. (Try taking a photograph out of the side window of a fast-moving car, it'll get blurred unless you have a big lens, a lot of light and/or you quickly turn the camera so it's aimed at the same thing during the exposure.)

So we could do it, but I doubt it would convince any of the "sceptics". There's already plenty of evidence, heck, the whole thing was broadcast live on television. Any new evidence is just going to be met with claims of it having been fabricated...

I agree, some very, very stupid people will believe it is fakes no matter what. There could be a rover on the moon with a 10 megapixel camera pointed at the USA flag and people would still say it is fake!..... Or if they used an iphone5 camera they would say the flag wasnt purple and fuzzy(hehehe).
