In another discussion in this board I earlier today have proposed a glossary because a question concerning the definition of "suborbital" and "suborbit" has to be discussed. I talked of several additional terms and adjectives there.
Now it is to supposed that there are other definitions relevant and important for the topic "private space travel". Some of them may have been already asked for in discussions here. So it would be very useful to provide aglossary at www.xprizenews.org as well as at www.xprize.org/com. Do you be interested too? And is it easy to add? A sort of Space/X-Prize for dummies.
With brief descriptions on terminology and abbreviations. |

That would be a most wonderful addition.
Keep it simple though. If you need more technical stuff there's google and astronautix eh. The Offical website has a few gloss terms now, when you hold your cursor over a word for five seconds but I don't think that has been implemented extensively enough. _________________ What goes up better doggone well stay up! - Morgan Gravitronics, Company Slogan. |

The glossary should include the term "feather-technique". The definition should link to Scaled's explanation and additionaly inlude the posts from August 3rd and 4th of "Why does SS1 need the drag configuration?" under "Technology".
I will look for additional relevant or important terms. Dipl.-Volkswirt (bdvb) Augustin (Political Economist) |

I tried some wiki's, but it asks too much server load, so i'm creating manually an other system, but yes every registered user will be able to change it.. so "similar" as a wiki _________________ Heavier-than-air flying machines are impossible. - Lord Kelvin, 1892 |

Hello, Sigurd,
the glossary you created is very delighting and it's a very good idea to give all readers the possibility to add terms and definitions. After I had to interrupt my search for posts containing terms probably to list I now will continue that and register when I find a sufficient item.
