What about having a photo page to display pictures of launches or other space related stuff on?
People could send in any pictures they've taken at launches or events they've attended? _________________ A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. |

A media page is listed as a potential new feature in a few months toghetter with the planned "large" site change.
This feature on the other side, will be limited, to avoid a too large server transfere. _________________ Heavier-than-air flying machines are impossible. - Lord Kelvin, 1892 |

What would be close to spaceflight are photos of landing sites on other planets photographed from space. The more details of the landing sites to be seen the better.
This could be a good assistance to future discussions under "Technology", "The Spaceflight Cafe" or "Future Competitions". It would be sufficient to provide links to selected photos. But it will be much work - perhaps it should be established the same way the glossary is established: Participants should be given the rights to post a landing site photo or a link to such a photo. But that perhaps requires moderation to make sure that only real landing sites are posted. Dipl.-Volkswirt (bdvb) Augustin (Political Economist) |

Or a place to post small Vector flash movies to explain concepts under discussion.
Would have been nice for our recent Orbital mechanics discussion... _________________ What goes up better doggone well stay up! - Morgan Gravitronics, Company Slogan. |

Yes, you are right. But Peter posted diagrams and graphics and that was helpful. I'm not expereinced in drawing graphics by MS Paint etc. - so it would hve been harder to provide movies. So I will have to draw graphics on pieces of paper and scan them in - but there still something is required to be able again to use scanners etc. I hope to get new hardware today in the evening but that's not sure. This way the creation of movies would be much harder again.
Such Thread-related graohics and movies should be provided directly within the posts I think. What has been proposed here would have a different focus: Stimulating and triggering thoughts, ideas, visions, discussions and threads. Dipl.-Volkswirt (bdvb) Augustin (Political Economist) |
