i guess youve all read the latest news on the front here about Rutan's talk! wow i have to say i think thats true spirit! there are great breakthroughs along the way but a man to have so much vision in incredible! if you guys here look back 10 years maybe less and think where you thought space travel was going (apart from kids who thought everywhere lol) everyone said it was boring n dull! nothing would happen and all the hype from after apollo etc was dead! now Rutan (now to be called God) has grabbed the bull by the horns and started running! he actually gave a serious talk about aiming to get to the moon in his life, have hotels and orbital flights. Now from most people you would laugh but here is someone who may actually have the knowlwdge and contacts to pull this off, by the time nasa get to the moon the private space community will be watching them through a telescope from the moon! i realy do beleive he will get this done i realy do!
Just to add a bit more, SS2 wow. 9 people floating did he say? flight tests 2 years operational 4 years and thousands of passengers capable WOW Also he said he will spend his time doing this and speeding up orbital flights double WOW! Who's with me getting carried away with anxiety here? no... rob _________________ > http://www.fullmoonclothing.com > http://www.facebook.com/robsastrophotography > robgoldsmith@hotmail.co.uk |

But note - he didn't say that he will construct an orbital vehicle. What he said is that he will be working and struggling to achieve private orbital flights.
9-passenger-vehicles - are that really the crafts for Virgin Galactic? If yes - and I suppose that - then this may be an adjustment to the fact that Virgin has registered in between 13,000 people depositing payments to get a suborbital ticket. All this is another proof of Rutan being a real entrepreneur by heart and mind - not aiming at the money but at the ideas and visions. A pioneer making real desires and dreams and pushing the frontiers further beyond the horizons. Dipl.-Volkswirt (bdvb) Augustin (Political Economist) |
