t/Space's concept includes In-Situ Ressource Utilization - according to their .pdf.
They plan to break lunar ice to win propellant. Now the last informations abot the lunar ice I remember say that the ice is mixed with the dust. May nanotechnologies be a good help for ISRU under these circumstances? The vehicles that would apply ISRU cannot include large equipment for melting and separation. They too have to be including electrolyzing equipment. And could such nanotechnology be of use at earth too? Is that a good topic for a WTN XPRIZE? Dipl.-Volkswirt (bdvb) Augustin |
