If you haven't read this article on the Latest News page, please do. It's all about Flyin' Brian and what he's supposedly up to. There's only one problem. The author of this article wrote it upon hearing FB (NSFB) speaking at some kind of conference. It's written in a prose manner that seems to put forth fact, not conjecture. I wondered whether he performed any independent research into the FB phenomenon , so I emailed him and asked him whether there was any factual base to the article or just written as per what FB presented. THERE IS NO INDEPENDENT CORROBORATION OF THE FACTS PRESENTED HERE! People must stop printing this tripe as if it is fact. The author saw nothing at all. No tour of shop, no hardware...nothing. All he heard was FB's words and the same tired PowerPoint presentation he's been hauling around for months.
We should continue to challenge this kind of report that fails to separate facts....from smoke... _________________ Because wherever you go....there you are. |

What do you expect, of course NSFB has to jump in the spotlight again. Could he be upstaged by a grilled chese sandwich?
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/4034787.stm All sarcasm aside, I'm still leaving room for faith in these statements (if not in timeline but in intent to eventually launch), and wish DVP all the best. -Ben |

nah NSFB lost me forever when he said that they had planned retractable fins for WF, so they came up with feathering jsut like Scaled.
I mean, c'mon, seriously. How can you take what he says seriously when he sprouts tripe liek that? Andrew |

The Conference, as I understand it, was at MIT.

You'd think that there would be some intelligent questions there, at least. Are there any other reports from that conerence that anyone has found yet?
adavis: Yes, I cannot take anything NSFB says seriously. I can only hope he's merely a deluded talking head, and the sheer momentum of the (hopefully existent) volunteer/professional base will eventually see some kind of actualized goal. NSFB's BS is a bitter pill, though. -Ben |

slycker....
I loved the toast article. No wonder they wanted to sponsor Flyin' Brian...he's not too far removed from this kind of tomfoolery. Maybe they can cart around the toast AND a cheesy mock-up of "Wildfire" and take it on tour. I'm sure that loads of Jerry Springer fans will enjoy it....and of course...more publicity for goldencasino.com...or whoever they are. Brian should also become the spokesperson for the toast. I'm sure he could work up an excellent Powerpoint presentation on the merits of the toast and maybe some engineering applications for the toast. Maybe he could launch the toast....... _________________ Because wherever you go....there you are. |
