http://www.xprize.org/teams/cosmopolis.html Look at the space ship pictures.. it seems to be the same AND <<<Space Adventures is in the running for the X-Prize, a $10 million purse offered to the first private company to build and fly a three-person space vehicle to an altitude of 62.5 miles twice within a two-week period and return safely to earth.>>> as described over here http://www.miami.com/mld/miamiherald/bu ... 219405.htm So I think spaceadventures is now Suborbital Corporation ... any other thoughts ? _________________ Heavier-than-air flying machines are impossible. - Lord Kelvin, 1892 |

Quote: So I think spaceadventures is now Suborbital Corporation ... any other thoughts ? Actually, Space Adventures and Suborbital Corporation are two different companies. Suborbital Corporation is a Russian company working on a suborbital rocket. Space Adventues is a American company offering space tourism services (they worked on Tito's and Shuttleworth's flights). Space Adventures has invested in Suborbital (as well as the company XCOR, I believe) in order to produce vehicles for their planned suborbital tourism flights. So the companies are related, but not the same. |
