hey, i was just wandering if there was any starchaser news, i was expecting work to begin on their final rocket after they released the design for it! and test engines. So are they doing anything now or just touring primary schools?

The only recent news out of Starchaser is they bought a Russian space suit.
With the exception of Armadillo Aerospace, which has weekly updates, the X X PRIZE teams seem to follow the same pattern: working quietly for several months, then making big news, then returning to the shadows. Starchaser is no exception: they had a flood of news in Oct-Dec: engine tests, sponsors, new design. So I would just be patient. |

News is always sparse... Latest news I've seen is:
Space Transport has developed and tested a new 12 inch engine http://www.space-transport.com/?stc=news Kelly has a contract(?) to work on a 2nd generation RLV http://www.kellyspace.com/1-23-01-press.html and Pioneer Rocketplane has new news regarding the Oklahoma Spaceport. http://www.rocketplane.com/ |

fairplay to them a good update! looked good! will be interesting to see if we can watch the rocket get assembled on the webcam now. hope they can get some work done on the final product. Was intereesting to see that armadillo had a good update too, the teams are making the progress show now, and im starting to see a devide between the real contenders and some other teams falling behind a bit. Maybe starchaser could have an outside chance here, it seems everyone has got scaled down to win but i havnt heard what they are up to, it could be closer than expected.
