anyone here know if he has laid out his space policy in detail? if so, where can i find it? i don't think i heard space mentioned once during the campaign, though i know he supports space exploration in the nebulous sense.

Bah!! that article basically says that he supports everything in a "balanced" fashion. Somethings just don't meld. such has keeping the shuttle and its workforce around as well as pushing up the first flights of orion. All I ask of political leaders is to not get in NASA's way. Let them do what they have been mandated to do and don't change your mind until they have accomplished it.

Here is a talk he did about NASA, i remember watching this at the time. Was last summer i think....Not sure it talks too much about their plans but it certainly got the crowds shouting and cheering!

Anything said during a campaign is null and void.
Nasa's fate is now a response to a severe recession. It is a very hard program to cut, and is an easy recipient of a giant public works program. As far as I can see, all bets are off across the board. _________________ What goes up better doggone well stay up! - Morgan Gravitronics, Company Slogan. |

Quote: As far as I can see, all bets are off across the board. Perhaps, but at the same time President Obama is likely to have Bill Richardson somewhere in his cabinet (I'd personally love to see him replace Griffin, but I'm sure they have bigger things planned for him), and if NewSpace has any ally in government it's Governor Richardson. I think he'll listen to him. |
