The german section of the Mars Society is reporting that AMSAT received signals from Voyager 1 by their private 20 m-antenna in Bochum/Germany.
AMSAT obviously informed the JPL and got congratulations from them. The JPL also has said that they din't know that Voyager 1 still is working and transmitting. Private organizations can be capable to do deep space communication it seems. Dipl.-Volkswirt (bdvb) Augustin (Political Economist) |

Wow, that's amazing. When Voyager was launched I was eight years old. I'm almost 40 now.
