Under www.welt.de there is an article today saying that scientists have the idea to store data and informations within the genome(s) of bacteria. This includes music, literature and very much more.
The idea is said to be debated and doubted by other scientists but let's assume it works - what about sending such bacteria towards other stars and into the interstellar space then and perhaps towards the intergalactical space? The genome of the bacteria would prevent it all from loss for millions of years and might take it to other civilisations in space. This would be a chance that someone knows of mankind even if it would have vanished then. What about that? Dipl.-Volkswirt (bdvb) Augustin (Political Economist) |
