Here's something interesting I found on the net. Young people are coming up with lots of ideas these days. Quite an endeavor, I must say.
Brian Lee, a student from Georgia Institute of Technology studying aerospace engineering has started a project along with a website, where he intends to create two time capsules - one which will travel beyond our solar system, just as the Voyager spacecraft did in 1977. The other will remain on Earth to be recovered after thousands of years. He intends to bring people all across the globe to participate in this project so that they may be able to leave personal messages for the generations in the far-future. Participants can leave messages in text, audio, or video format. With sufficient participants and funds, he plans to have one time capsule to be launched most likely with the help of one of NASA's rockets. You can find more about this project, Vessels of Time, at http://www.vesselsoftime.com |
