Which mission of all already done or begun would you consider to be the one indicating that mankind or Earth is for is becomming a spcae civilisation.
I personally consider the Voyager mission to be this one. The project is going since 1970s, it's still going on and it will last one more decade at least. The project is exploring the edge and border of the solar system and reaches out into the interstellar space. If any alien could observe any impacts of the two voyagers on the particles and gas of the solar system then there might be a chance that they wonder about it and suspect that intelligence might be behind it. I consider Apollo as the qualifying missions. I will settle for nothing less than people setting foot on another world.

likewise. So far nothing compares with Apollo. A sustainable proffitable lunar colony or space station would, but we're not there yet.

My personal reason is that the Voyager project is reaching out far more than Apollo. Apollo explored the Moon while the Voyager project eplores the borders of the solar system and will explore the beginning of the interstellar space also - the project is reaching beyond our stellar home and the probes leave this home for the regions between the stars. ...
