iPad dropped 100,000 feet from space

That's impressive. I calculate that the ipad landed at a speed of around 40 MPH, or 51 feet/second. That's equivalent to dropping an object from 41 feet up. The speed may have been a bit slower with the remaining bits of the balloon acting as streamers.
I wonder how many drop tests he did off of a building before he attempted the balloon launch. The trick is to have enough padding, and make it land flat like he did. As far as the end of the video, that kid needs some serious counseling, and maybe some meds to control his anger. |
