If you don't have formal systems engineering training, or you don't have 20 years of working for Nasa then this course is sweet:
16.885J / ESD.35J Aircraft Systems Engineering That is the iTunes link to the free video lectures. There is a link from there back to the MIT site. Basically is runs through all the design processes and other bits and pieces that went into making most of the Shuttle sub-systems by the guys who ran the programs. It covers how they did what they did, what they learnt and what they would do differently. It is made up of 22 two hour lectures. the lectures are also available in ausio only format. I am also going to drop in two NTRS links to the course 'textbook'. This is a conference in which all the program managers presented papers after the shuttle had flown a few times. Search http://ntrs.nasa.gov for: Space Shuttle Technical Conference, part 1 Space Shuttle Technical Conference, part 2 If you are here beause you are trying to reinvent the wheel in a cheap, private way, then this stuff should be really helpful. _________________ What goes up better doggone well stay up! - Morgan Gravitronics, Company Slogan. |
