With the recent problem one of their astonauts had with a tear in one of their gloves during an EVA to assemble the ISS it seems NASA has decided to put a bit more effort into the glove challenge and get things going.
Its interesting to note the damage caused by existing gloves to astronaut's hands, you would have thought they would have been better designed than at present. http://www.nasa.gov/home/hqnews/2007/ap ... lenge.html _________________ A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. |

Someone has actually won the $200k first prize by designing a better glove.
http://spacefellowship.com/News/ and http://www.space.com/businesstechnology ... e_win.html the $50k second prize for a counter pressure glove is going to be rolled over to next year though. _________________ A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. |
