Hey x-prizers! (or should that be x-prize-ies?) I just wanted to get a general idea of what age groups are interested in the X-prize.

Not surprising that the young'ns have the huge majority. If and when space travel really takes off, we, for better or worse, will be the ones doing it. A couple of engineering degrees+ a Ph.D and I could be one of them.I can't wait!

Well I am surprised that the young'ns have the huge majority. It seems to me like most of them came of age in an age when space exploration was (and still is) very unpopular. But then again, that doesn't necessarily prove anything, so whatever!

Once anyone can fly to space for the price of a once in a lifetime vacation, we will see the kind of excitement about space necessary to attract the next generation into the engineering and business of space.
Don't forget about what will happen when the first celebrity or first teenager goes to space! |
