Is anyone running a blog for the launch? I can't access IRC from my workplace, so am hunting for a way to find out what's happening before BBC News Online gets around to telling me...

I take it we are all the ones spitting blood because our work computers don't let us watch the web-cast eh? And why do Scaled launch when we are at work!!! I'm quite sure they have weekends in America by now.

Maybe Scaled don't like working on weekends either?

Dr_Keith_H wrote: Thanks! That's exactly what I was looking for. I am trying the webcast, but it seems to come and go, even though we've got a good connection here at work. Still, I'd rather be in Mojave, but this'll do. By the way, the BBC News Online site has got a webcast starting at 14:00GMT (15:00BST). ~Dan |

Yeah, the webcast sucks... I missed all the key moments
It's about time internet technology caught up with space technology - after all, it ain't rocket science Still, well done to our brave pioneer(s), and let's hope they fix the control glitch in time for the second flight. Dave |

The NASA webcast proved to be the most stable in the end, the others weren't reliable, oh well.

The NASA one worked fine at 56k, the higher ones were a bit glitchy, but certainly better than the other webcast I tried.
That roll looked pretty hairy, even from here in the UK! Well done people, but I would put money on them waiting a bit longer than Monday for the next launch given that roll. Since the engine was off 11s early, they must have been trying for a pretty high altitude. James |
